Announcements
Any major announcements and news about the site will be posted here. September 13th, 2008: StrategyWiki joins the GamerDNA Alliance!
![]() It's a deal that's been in the works for quite some time, but it's finally official: StrategyWiki, along with sister site abxy.org, are now members of the GamerDNA Alliance! What does that mean for you? For one thing, it means access to an even larger community of gamers across the world. After we switch servers, a massive hardware upgrade means a tremendous improvement in site performance. Most importantly, it means the same great wiki community experience that you've always enjoyed here at StrategyWiki, brought to you by the same dedicated staff. The changes won't take place over night, but we'll be sure to highlight them as they take place. In the mean time, be sure to visit GamerDNA to see what they're all about, and stay tuned for more information.

Collaboration of the Month
Spore is this month's Collaboration. It is a life simulation that involves growing a creature from a cellular organism into a developed race, and eventually holding a commanding role in the home world and heading for the stars. Planets are created using procedural generation, while the races that populate them come from other players who have uploaded their creations. Its release was accompanied by two spin-offs, Spore Creatures for the Nintendo DS, and Spore Origins for the iPhone, iPod, and mobile phones. To vote for the next Collaboration of the month, visit the Collaboration of the Month page with your comments on why your nominee page should become the collaboration of the month. This could include a specific game, policies needing finalization, or anything that the community should work together as a team to complete. |
