==Route 201==
Route 201 is located along apleasant woody path in the forest. You can go west on the route to reach Verity Lakefront and eventually Lake Verity. East is the way to Sandgem Town. If you try to go to Sandgem Town instead of Lake Verity on your first visit your mom will stop you from entering the grass.
As your first outing, you have no Pokémon, meaning if you even attempt to go in the grass, your mom will come and tell you not to go in the grass. On your first outing, go to the left, to come to [[Pokémon Diamond and Pearl/Verity Lakefront|Verity Lakefront]], and continue from there.

==Items==
On your second visit to this route, go back to Twinleaf, and Rowan and his assistant will be there, apparently very annoyed. The assistant says to come see them at their labratory in Sandgem Town. Talk to your mom to obtain the ''Running Shoes''. Your rival's mother will come and ask you to deliver a parcel to your rival who is already in Sandgem town.
*Potion

On your third visit, instead of taking the left path, start through the grass, talking to the PokéMart salesman to recieve a free potion. Continue up through the grass, and to the right to reach [[Pokémon Diamond and Pearl/Sandgem Town|Sandgem Town]].

On your fourth visit this early in the game, go back to Twinleaf, jumping over the ledges to avoid the grass if you would like to, and talk to your mother one last time. Go back to Sandgem to start on your adventure.

*After leaving Turnleaf Town you see your rival heading to Lake Verity to capture the Red Gyarados. Follow him.
*'''After Visiting Lake Verity''' After visiting the lake come back to Route 201. You'll see Professor Rowan and his assistant there waiting for you. The professor seems annoyed that you used his pokemon, but the assistant tells you to drop by the lab later.
*'''After Obtaining the Running Shoes''' After getting the Running Shoes you can walk into grass. The pokemon you find cannot be caught yet, but making them faint gives your pokemon more EXP. If your pokemon is weak go to your house and talk to your mom to heal. In the grass, talk to the PokeMart Salesman to recieve a free potion. Potions give your pokemon an extra 20 HP, good for keeping around.
Head to Jubilife City to give your rival the Parcel.

#10 Starly #13 Bidoof

Starly are the basic Flying Pokémon in this game. Like Pidgey from earlier games, Starly evolves twice, making it a good Pokémon to pick up when you can. The Flying attacks it learns will be helpful throughout the game, and we also need a Fly and Defog slave for this game.

Bidoof is a strange litte Pokémon, similar to Rattata in the sense that they are annoying and actually evolve into something useful. Picking one of these guys up also wouldn't hurt, especially as a HM slave
