Tiles are hidden under ground targets, and must usually be revealed with Missiles. Other Armors such as Fire or Thunder have the ability to reveal the tiles which are hidden beneath ground targets. In order to collect a tile, you must simply fly the Syd over the tile. Below is a list of every available tile as well as their effects.

Tile Name Description
Speed
  • Collect 3 to increase speed, up to 2 times.
Speed Down
  • Collect 1 to decrease speed.
  • If the Syd is at max speed, all Speed tiles turn into Speed Down tiles.
Keep Speed
  • Current Speed rating doesn't reset to the lowest Speed after death.
Laser
  • Collect 3 to increase offensive laser power, up to 2 times.
Laser Down
  • Collect 1 to decrease the laser power.
  • If the Syd is at the highest laser level, all Laser tiles turn into Laser Down tiles.
Keep Laser
  • Current Laser power rating doesn't reset to the lowest Laser power after death.
Missile
  • Collect 3 to increase the number of launched missiles, up to 3.
Missile Down
  • Collect 1 to decrease the number of missiles.
  • If the Syd is at the highest missle level, all Missile tiles turn into Missiles Down tiles.
Keep Missile
  • Current Missle rating doesn't reset to the a single missle after death.
Blue Energy
  • Increases energy store by 1 unit.
Yellow Energy
  • Increases energy store by 4 units.
  • If any armor is activated, all Yellow Energy tiles turns into Blue Energy tiles.
Red Energy
  • Increases energy store by 8 units.
  • If any armor is activated, all Red Energy tiles turns into Blue Energy tiles.
Energy Down
  • Energy store reduced by 4 units.
Voltage
  • Increases number of storable energy units by 1.
  • The ship stores 16 units by default, and can be raised to a maximum of 24.
Bonus
  • Gives 500 to 8000 bonus points.
Flash
  • Destroys and reveals all hidden tiles on the screen, or for several screens ahead.
Warp
  • Gets sent immediately ahead in the current stage fast by several screens with no enemy interference.
  • Gives the benefit of making tiles available to collect.
Reverse
  • Gets sent backward though the stage faster speed than the Warp tile.
  • No benefit of collecting tiles.
Player-up
  • Earn an extra life.
  • Extremely rare!
Cancel
  • Speed, Lasers, and Missles reduced in power.
  • Loses any collected Keep tiles.
