Welcome to StrategyWiki![edit]

Hello Numbuh 800! Welcome to StrategyWiki. Thank you for your contributions. If you have any questions, just contact a sysop through their talk page or post on the staff lounge, and they'd be happy to help. If you need help editing, check the editing article or the StrategyWiki Guide. If you have a question about the content on this wiki, you can check out our staff lounge page. If you want to ask questions or hang out in IRC, we're usually around. On the other hand, if you have ideas for StrategyWiki, bring them up on the community portal talk page. Please remember to sign your name on talk pages by clicking   or using four tildes (~~~~); this will automatically produce your name and the date. Finally, please do your best to always fill in the edit summary field as this helps to document all of your hard work. Feel free to delete this message from your talk page if you like, or keep it for reference. Happy editing! -- Dan 14:47, 11 March 2007 (CDT)

When making edits, rather than putting the name of the page in the summary (which is obvious since you have edited the page) please leave a summary of the changes you made, so that we can understand what you did without having to look at the diff. Also, try using the Preview button more, since you can see any layout problems immediately, without having to save and re-edit the page. Happy editing :) -- Prod (Talk) 20:31, 30 March 2007 (CDT)

Simply your edits[edit]

Hi Numbuh 800. Before I reemphasize what Prod mentioned above, I have to implore you to keep the layout changes in the Pokémon Red and Blue guide to a minimum. If you do have a concern about the layout, please discuss it with me, and I'll work to alleviate whatever problem you're experiencing. I work extremely hard to lay the walkthrough pages out so that they will appear correctly in a number of browsers. And there is a note in the main Walkthrough page that reads:

Because of the sheer amount of information included on each page, special attention has been paid to the layout of the tables and images in this guide. It is recommended that you view this guide with a minimum desktop resolution of 1024 × 768, or higher if possible. Maximize your browser as wide as possible in order to see the pages the way they were intended. Some pages will simply not display correctly in smaller widths.

Aside from that, I appreciate any corrections or additions. As to the previous point, excessive edits to a single page are a terrible drain on the available database space that the site uses. Please use the Show Preview button between edits, and only use the Save Page button when you are completely done editing that page. Two or three back to back edits are understandable, but more than that is bad practice. Have fun. Procyon 21:39, 30 March 2007 (CDT)

Pokemon Moves[edit]

Hi Numbuh800. We're not including the move lists in the Pokemon walkthroughs because a) it gets too conjested (and it's already conjested as it is), b) it would have to be done everywhere, and c) we have a partnership with Bulbapedia, so if anyone wants to know what moves a Pokemon has, they can look it up through Bulbapedia's outstanding wiki Pokedex. Thanks. Procyon 17:22, 7 April 2007 (CDT)
