Increasing dark magic level without Nirvas[edit]

By assigning an amigo's essence with dark magic to the protagonist (before class changing into a dark mage), they will be able to cast high-level dark magic from the moment they class change. Normally, the protagonist starts off with "call Nirva" as their only dark spell upon changing class, which requires Nirvas to cast; however, recruiting too many Nirvas early on hinders the recruitment of Luxes. Using this method, the protagonist can safely increase their dark magic level without impeding spirit recruitment order.

Process[edit]

  • Make sure the protagonist has not class changed into a dark mage yet (occurs when 100 amigos are registered).
  • Register an amigo whose dark magic level is 2 or higher.
  • Set the amigo to the protagonist's essence tab in their profile.
    • Equip the protagonist with offensive dark magic (mijoté, hell dice, abyss, clear spirits, black hole).
    • Equipping stronger dark spells is recommended, since casting them yields more element EXP. Wearing dark seals will increase element EXP gain, too.
  • Register a 100th amigo, which class changes the protagonist into a dark mage.
    • The protagonist's dark magic level will be brought down to 1 (essence included), but the equipped dark spells can still be used as-is.
    • If you remove any of the equipped dark magic at this point, it can't be re-equipped.
    • Likewise, all equipped dark magic will go away if you unequip the set amigo.
  • Cast the equipped spells to raise the protagonist's dark magic level.
    • At dark magic level 2, the protagonist will permanently learn "mijoté", which can then be cast to learn "hell dice" and so on.
    • By this point, it's okay to change the protagonist's set amigo and equipped magic.

99 dark seals[edit]

If you haven't registered entry 14 for the Magic notebook, examine the chest at Benakoncha Ruins・North which contains a leather cloak, but only after it's been opened. The chest will contain 99 dark seals, and entry 14 gets registered.

Process[edit]

  • Make sure entry 14 of the magic notebook (attacking enemies with magic of an alike element) isn't registered. This entry is normally obtained from Lemon at Valencia Beach.
    • Without getting entry 14 from Lemon, entries 11 and 13 will also be unregistered due to the order in which they're obtained.
  • Open the chest containing a leather cloak at Benakoncha Ruins・North, then re-enter Benakoncha Ruins from either the Toruna Village side or the Sparrow Moor side.
    • Normally, interacting with the chest simply displays a message stating it's empty.
  • Upon re-entering, check the opened chest, which contains 210 dark seals. Since there's a limit to how many of each item you can carry, this gets narrowed down to 99.
  • Magic notebook entry 14 is registered at the same time.

Other errors[edit]

  • In Communication battles, Brown's name (ブラウン?) is incorrectly displayed as Brownie (ブラウニー?) from the opposing player's perspective.
