Crops[edit]

Planting, growing, and harvesting crops is one of the main focuses of every game in the Harvest Moon series. Taking care of crops is relatively easy, as each vegetable will not die until the end of the season, even if not watered. Vegetables must be watered to grow, and can only be planted in tilled soil. Some crops disappear after being harvested, while some can be re-watered to grow more crops.

All vegetable seeds can be purchased at the Flower Shop in the village during their respective season, or during any season if a greenhouse has been built. During the winter, if you don't have a greenhouse, no crops can be grown. When you do get a greenhouse, all seeds, including strawberries, will be available for purchase and may be grown at any season inside the greenhouse. Consuming vegetables can restore stamina, but none can restore fatigue.

Wild Herbs[edit]

Along with planting and harvesting crops, there are also wild growing plants and herbs growing in the mountain that may be picked. The wild growing plants change from season to season, and some may disappear after the hot tub is built. Unlike the crops grown on the farm, they reappear each day, whether or not they were picked the previous day. Eating any of these items, except for the medicinal herb and the poisonous mushroom, will give you stamina points. Eating a medicinal herb will reduce your fatigue points.
