Recipes are one of the many optional collectibles in the game. You can get recipes by gifting certain NPCs certain items. Some require an NPC to be at a minimum affection level before you get a recipe. Two recipes are seasonal: Cliff's Spice Tea can only be obtained in winter, and Sydney's "Herb Rice Cake" is only available during spring.

The recipes can't be cooked or made during gameplay, but the number of recipes received by evaluation day can change the cutscenes that play. However, they don't play a key role in getting the party photo. You can only get a recipe if giving the first gift to an NPC that day. You cannot give a gift or get a recipe before you introduce yourself to a character or during certain festivals and special events.

Recipes are on display in the kitchen, and can be checked at any time once you've built the kitchen extension. Some recipes will show up under a different name on this list. For example, Ellen's Walnut Cake recipe lists as "Herb Rice Cake", Lillia's "Vegetable Tomato Stew" becomes "Twice-Cooked Tomatoes, and Greens", and the Shipper's "Tomato Soup" becomes "Tomato Crem Soup".

  1. ↑ Sasha will not give you the Tomato Rice recipe until Gotz is at 30 affection or above.
  2. ↑ Basil is only available from Spring 15 to Fall 4 of every year
  3. ↑ Gray will not give out the Stuffed Omelet recipe until he is at 51 affection or greater
  4. ↑ Greg leaves for the winter, so you can only get this recipe during Spring, Summer, or Fall
